I AM A WOMAN OF FIRE — REMIX

By Cristina Elias

I AM A WOMAN OF FIRE — REMIX

The Waiting Fed the Flame

There is a kind of strength that cannot be manufactured through motivation, confidence, or outward achievement. It is developed through surrender.

Through seasons when the answers are not immediate, when obedience costs something, and when remaining faithful to Jesus Christ matters more than finding a faster way forward.

I AM A WOMAN OF FIRE — REMIX was built around this journey.

The woman in this song is not celebrating her own invincibility. She is declaring her dependence on the One who sustained her.

She has experienced waiting, pressure, disappointment, and transformation. But rather than allowing those seasons to determine her identity, she has learned to return to the Word of God.

She knows who she is because she knows whose she is.

The oil matters more than the appearance of the flame

In Matthew 25, Jesus tells the parable of ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom. All ten carried lamps, but only five had prepared with sufficient oil.

The distinction was not simply that they possessed lamps.

It was that they were ready when the bridegroom arrived.

This is one of the central messages of the song: “I will not trade my oil away.”

A life rooted in Christ cannot be sustained by outward appearance alone. It requires genuine faith, obedience, perseverance, and continued communion with Him.

The waiting fed the flame

Waiting can expose what has been driving a person’s decisions.

Fear can create urgency. Loneliness can encourage compromise. Disappointment can tempt someone to abandon convictions that once seemed unshakable.

But waiting can also become a season of preparation. A woman does not need to run ahead of God to prove that her life is moving forward.

She can remain faithful, continue building, grow in wisdom, and hold her hopes before the Lord without making those hopes her master.

A woman prepared for the Kingdom

The song moves beyond personal endurance into responsibility.

“Let my love build the Kingdom. Let my hands build the Kingdom. Let my home serve the Kingdom. Let my voice speak the Kingdom.”

Faith is not merely something to possess privately. It shapes how a woman lives, works, loves, serves, and responds to the responsibilities entrusted to her.

And the final focus is not on the woman herself.

It is on Jesus Christ. The Bridegroom. The King.

The One for whom the lamp remains burning.

The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” — Revelation 22:17
