Psalm 23 is one of the most familiar passages in Scripture—but sometimes the words we know best are the ones we need to slow down and truly hear again. This meditation is an invitation to stay with the Word instead of simply reading through it. “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
What does that mean in the life we are living today—in the middle of decisions, responsibilities, uncertainty, noise, waiting and the constant pressure to know what comes next?
Psalm 23 reminds us that we have a Shepherd.
He leads.
He restores.
He remains with us through the valley.
He prepares a table even in the presence of opposition.
He fills our cup.
And His goodness and mercy continue to follow us.
The circumstances of our lives may look very different from David's, but our need for God's presence, direction, restoration and peace has not changed.
Take your time with these words. Let them become personal. Bring your own life into the Psalm and allow the Holy Spirit to show you what you may have been reading past.
You do not need to see the entire road when you know your Shepherd. 🤍
